About Our Auto Repair Shop in Amarillo, TX
Meet Steve
From the Road to Amarillo
Steve started out as a mobile mechanic in California, building a reputation for honest, reliable work on the road — showing up for drivers wherever they were stuck.
While passing through Amarillo, he was delayed by a severe storm. He saw an opportunity, and he decided to stay. About two years ago, he opened The Mechanic Shop.
Amarillo is home now.

“Communication, efficiency, quality, honesty, work ethic, cost effeciency, frankly 5 stars doesn't feel like a high enough ranking for what Steve/'s team did for me and my car.”
“Steve was very helpful with our urgent situation and made sure we were taken care of. They have an amazing waiting lobby where our family was kept entertained with games tv and drinks”
“Just. Call. Steve. He is the best! Daughter and I were driving through to OK from CA when both headlights, low and high, went out.”
“We were broken down on the side of the road late at night, and the mechanic shop was the only mechanic open. We had our truck and trailer towed here and it was ready by the next morning!”
“Quick service even on a Saturday night when everyone else was closed. Appreciated the accurate diagnosis and hospitality.”
“Helped my son out on a cross country trip. It's amazing that this shop works as late as it does and works to help the customer resolve the issues.”
